The restaurant holds one star in the Michelin Guide Shanghai for both 2017 and 2018. With a capacity of around one hundred guests, Si Ji Xuan also has five private rooms for a more intimate experience. The restaurant's menu features Cantonese cuisine as well as numerous Shanghai specialties. Among the many dishes, the famous dim sum naturally takes pride of place, a whole array of small dishes typical of Cantonese cuisine, considered among the best in Shanghai. Among the starters, for example, one finds iced bamboo shoots served with leek flowers and mushrooms. Si Ji Xuan is also known for its very wide selection of seafood.
