Park Hyatt Shanghai: A Hotel Above the City

Pudong skyscrapers at dusk: the Shanghai Tower, the SWFC and the Oriental Pearl Tower

Located in the heart of Shanghai's new business district, the Park Hyatt Shanghai ranks among the tallest hotels in the world and offers a breathtaking view over the city. This 5-star hotel occupies the 79th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center and features 174 luxurious rooms and suites in a truly unique setting.

A successful alliance of luxury and contemporary art

True to the Park Hyatt brand, the hotel offers a unique luxury experience, both through its service and its remarkable contemporary setting. Deeply invested in contemporary art, the hotel holds a renowned art collection featuring some of the most beautiful pieces in the world. Every suite houses a unique work of art, whether a painting, a sculpture or another art object. The Park Hyatt Shanghai's contemporary interior is imbued with beauty and stands apart through its architecture. Award-winning New York architect Tony Chi designed the interior architecture, with the ambition of blending modernity with Chinese inspiration. A successful bet: the hotel is modern while remaining understated, elegant and softly lit, offering a truly sophisticated experience.

A breathtaking panorama of Shanghai

The hotel's real added value is the view it offers from the 79th all the way up to the 93rd floor of the city's financial center. When it opened in 2008, the Park Hyatt Shanghai held the title of the world's tallest hotel, which is no longer the case. Even so, spread across fourteen floors, the hotel offers an exceptional panorama, from its rooms and suites as much as from its spa complex, bars and restaurant.

The hotel sits in Shanghai's new business district, named Lujiazui. This district is part of Pudong, separated from downtown by the city's main river. In recent years, Pudong has welcomed a growing number of domestic and international companies, and today symbolizes the region's extraordinary economic rise. The Park Hyatt Shanghai perfectly reflects the modernity of its district, while contrasting with the view over the other, older and more traditional, part of the city. The hotel is nonetheless very well located, within reasonable distance of both international airports and well connected to the city's must-see landmarks.

The Park Hyatt service

The 5-star hotel offers personalized service within exceptional facilities. The hotel's restaurant, named “100 Century Avenue,” is the perfect illustration. Located on the 91st floor, it has a 25-meter ceiling height and is fully glazed, offering a dining experience like no other. The restaurant, which can seat up to three hundred guests, is built around a live-cooking concept where interaction with guests is essential. Guests can watch multiple live culinary demonstrations and choose their dish among Chinese, Japanese or Western inspirations. We should also mention the wonderful pastries. The restaurant boasts the city's most diverse wine cellar, with more than 500 references, and regularly hosts tasting sessions.

To round out its offer, the hotel also has two rooftop bars and the highest nightclub in the world. Finally, for guests seeking relaxation, the Park Hyatt Shanghai has, on the 85th floor, a unique spa complex with an infinity pool, a treatment area and a fitness area. Every morning, a tai chi master leads a session in a dedicated space. The Park Hyatt Shanghai is therefore a property with multiple, diverse offerings. Guests find, day after day, a wide range of culinary, sporting or relaxation activities to meet every expectation.

Finally, the hotel offers numerous technological innovations. For example, the Hyatt e-concierge, a unique online service that makes it easy and quick to personalize a stay. Guests can make specific requests about their room before arrival, book activities or treatments, and enjoy a guest service that's ever more responsive and attentive to personal needs. Every suite is also equipped with numerous technological amenities, such as high-speed internet, an iPod connection, speakers and a DVD player, to name just a few. The Park Hyatt Shanghai is therefore a skillful blend of tradition and modernity within an unforgettable setting.
