The Lancaster Hotel<\/h1>\n
Changes are in full swing at the Lancaster Hotel in Paris. To complete the\u00a0renovation of rooms and suites that took place in February 2012, the Lancaster\u00a0Hotel has recently furnished a new look to its gastronomic restaurant, La Table\u00a0du Lancaster.<\/p>\n
Elegantly arrayed in tones of taupe, gold, and sand, the decor in La Table du\u00a0Lancaster remains faithful to the identity of the hotel and preserves a certain\u00a0orderly classicism within an ambiance that is at once friendly and inviting.<\/p>\n
As with the room decorations, flowers have served as the unifying thread across\u00a0the renovation. One can find them stylized along the floor, with large motifs in\u00a0tones of sand, taupe, and gold, to provide an echo to the contemporary Maxalto\u00a0chairs, as well as to the large round benches in the style of Louis XVI that have\u00a0been tailor-made and refurbished with golden velvet from Leli\u00e8vre. Two large\u00a0rose windows in the shape of camellias adorn the ceiling and highlight the\u00a0magnificent golden chandeliers from Murano, unique pieces that were designed\u00a0especially for the space.<\/p>\n
The decor and the art of the table reinterpret the French art of welcoming and\u00a0convey a warm, refined atmosphere.<\/p>\n
Entirely rethought, luminous, and refined, this new space sublimates the award-winning cuisine of Chef Julien Roucheteau, who offers cuisine that is elegant,\u00a0contemporary, and above all, worth savoring.<\/p>\n
During this period of renovation, I was able to exchange views with the chef on\u00a0his vision of the art of welcoming and ask him about how he has applied this art\u00a0to the Lancaster.<\/p>\n
What is your definition of the French art of welcoming? How does it\u00a0manifest itself in your restaurant, La Table du Lancaster?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\nChef Julien Roucheteau<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\u201cIt represents a chance to share our expertise and bring about an exchange of\u00a0culinary tastes with our clients. Above all, it is about bringing pleasure through\u00a0good food, warm reception, kindness, a pleasant table, and small attentions that\u00a0people don\u2019t expect. These allow for the discovery of products, appellations,\u00a0producers, and wines.<\/em><\/p>\n
I love that the atmosphere is friendly, laidback\u2014but also elegant and refined.\u00a0What we ask for most from our team is to remain attentive without making too\u00a0much of a fuss.<\/em><\/p>\n
Upon arriving, a client can choose to sit in the new Lancaster Bar and enjoy an\u00a0excellent aperitif or cocktail peacefully in the lounge. The advantage of having\u00a0young staff-members in this room is that it allows for an ambiance that is simpler\u00a0and more relaxed.<\/em><\/p>\n
