I had the immense pleasure and privilege of staying in the Grand Hotel of\u00a0Bordeaux (5-stars). It is located in the sumptuous Place de la Com\u00e9die in\u00a0the golden triangle right in the very heart of the city. The building was\u00a0constructed in 1779 by Victor Louis in a Neoclassical style comprised of\u00a0Corinthian colonnades. It is the very mind behind the grand theater that\u00a0graces the fa\u00e7ade of this hotel. The site is therefore a highly prestigious\u00a0one, and you will have but one sole desire: to make your way past the\u00a0entrance of the hotel and enter its doors to discover its marvels.<\/p>\n

THE ROOMS<\/strong><\/p>\n

120 superior and \u2018deluxe\u2019 rooms with surface areas ranging from 25 to 35\u00a0m2, 20 junior suites of 45 m2 with a salon room, 5 prestige suites of 65 m2\u00a0featuring a salon and a private bar, 2 Executive Corner suites with a\u00a0double view, 1 Suite Royale with a private entrance, salon, and terrace\u00a0with a Jacuzzi with a 360-degree view over all of Bordeaux.<\/p>\n

The d\u00e9cor of the hotel was designed by the renowned Jacques Garcia.\u00a0Luxury and refinement accompany the ensemble of the rooms of the hotel,\u00a0from the lobby to the rooms, from the spa to the restaurant, etc.<\/p>\n

All of the rooms have been thought out and designed on the basis of\u00a0distinct d\u00e9cors. From the choice of materials, colors, general room layout,\u00a0to choice of furniture; those who regularly stay in the establishment will\u00a0never receive the impression of finding themselves in a space identical to\u00a0the previous one. Guests will therefore systematically discover in each\u00a0room or apartment a d\u00e9cor arrayed in a unique style\u2014XVIII or Empire,\u00a0depending on each.<\/p>\n

The restaurant offerings in the Grand Hotel & Spa of Bordeaux subscribe\u00a0to a decidedly distinctive and high-end character, as well as a resolutely\u00a0gastronomic one. These articulate themselves around the two restaurants\u00a0Le Pressoir d\u2019Argent (Michelin-starred) and the BRASSERIE\u00a0L\u2019EUROPE<\/strong>, which, under the direction of chef Pascal Nibaudeau, each\u00a0pair in their own manner the treasures of the regional culinary palette with\u00a0the inherent and prolific wealth of Bordeaux vineyards.<\/p>\n

The head sommelier will be standing by to advise you on your choice of\u00a0one of the over 400 varieties of wine available in the wine cave.<\/p>\n
