I\u2019m very happy to share with you each day of this week an interview of Ralph Radtke, \u00c7\u0131ra\u011fan Palace Kempinski Istanbul General Manager & Kempinski<\/a> Area Director for Turkey & Bulgaria.<\/p>\n

With over 35 years of international hotel industry experience in more than 15 countries, Ralph Radtke, as TimeOut Istanbul English has nicely put, is \u201cMr Hospitality\u201d. Ralph Radtke, who speaks fluent English, French and Dutch in addition to his mother tongue of German, has been passionately engaged in the international hotel industry for many years.<\/p>\n

The foundations of his successful career were laid during his attendance at the Hotel School D. Speiser at Tegernsee, and Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, from 1970 to 1972. In addition, he is a graduate of the Hotel Management and Food & Beverage Management programmes at Glion, Switzerland, and Florida State University.<\/p>\n

In 1985, following various professional development stints in France, the Netherlands, Greece and Italy, Ralph Radtke received his first general manager position at the Sofitel Thalasso Quiberon in France. After working as a general manager in Hua Hin, Thailand and Moscow, Russia, he took over the position of Area General Manager of Sofitel in the Ivory Coast in 1992.<\/p>\n

Two years later, Radtke moved to the Hotel Europlaza & Residence in Luxembourg as the general manager. In 1999, he was appointed as the Area General Manager of Accor Hotels in Luxembourg, and was in charge of nine hotels. From 2006 onwards, he worked as the Director of Operations in Accor Hotels Luxembourg with nine hotels under his watch and at Sofitel Hotels BeLux with four properties in his control. In the last four years, prior to joining C\u0131ragan Palace Kempinski \u0130stanbul, he held the post of Senior Vice President of Sofitel for a total of 15 hotels in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey and Israel. Having started at C\u0131ragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul in October 2011, after only a few months he has taken the position of Kempinski Area Director, taking care of the group\u2019s Turkey and Bulgaria hotels in addition to being the General Manager of the C\u0131ragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul and a part of the Worldwide Development Committee for Kempinski.<\/p>\n
